Services Available for Referral

The following clinical service areas are available for referral across our four Northern Indiana locations. Specific service availability by location can be confirmed by contacting our referral specialist.

Emergency Eye Care Center 24/7

Urgent and emergency ophthalmic evaluation for conditions requiring same-day or after-hours attention, including sudden vision loss, ocular trauma, chemical injuries, acute infections, and other time-sensitive presentations. An on-call provider is accessible around the clock for after-hours triage.

Cataract Center

Comprehensive cataract evaluation, surgical consultation, and cataract surgery performed at our on-site Joint Commission-certified INSIGHT Surgery Center. The full range of premium intraocular lens options is available, including multifocal, EDOF, toric, and light adjustable lenses. Co-management arrangements with referring optometrists are welcomed and supported.

Vision Correction Center

Evaluation and surgical management of refractive error through the full range of vision correction procedures, including LASIK, PRK, EVO ICL, and Refractive Lens Exchange. Candidates are evaluated thoroughly and matched to the procedure best suited to their individual anatomy and goals.

Glaucoma Center

Comprehensive glaucoma evaluation, medical management, laser treatment, and interventional glaucoma procedures, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). Appropriate for referrals involving suspected glaucoma, established glaucoma requiring specialist co-management, and patients whose condition is not adequately controlled with current therapy.

Medical Retina Center

Evaluation and management of the full range of retinal and macular conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, retinal vascular disease, macular disorders, and vitreous conditions. In-office treatments, including anti-VEGF injections, laser photocoagulation, and Valeda light therapy for AMD, are available.

Cornea & Ocular Surface Center

Comprehensive evaluation and management of corneal and ocular surface conditions, including dry eye disease, meibomian gland dysfunction, keratoconus, corneal scarring and trauma, inflammatory and autoimmune-related corneal disease, and post-surgical surface complications. The full range of corneal surgical options is available, including DMEK, DALK, PKP, PTK, and corneal cross-linking.

Pediatric Eye Center

Comprehensive pediatric eye care for patients from infancy through adolescence, including evaluation and management of amblyopia, strabismus, refractive errors, pediatric eye infections and injuries, and other conditions affecting the developing visual system. Surgical management of strabismus is available at INSIGHT Surgery Center.

Comprehensive Eye Care & Wellness Center

Thorough adult and senior eye exams incorporating advanced diagnostic imaging, ocular health screening, and whole-person evaluation. Appropriate for referrals involving new ocular symptoms, systemic disease with potential ocular manifestations, or patients requiring a level of diagnostic thoroughness beyond what a routine exam provides.

Optical & Vision Solution Center

Full-service optical care, including prescription eyewear, specialty and high-index lenses, contact lens fittings, including specialty lenses for keratoconus and complex prescriptions, and scleral lens fitting. Available at all four locations through our INFOCUS Optical departments.

INSIGHT Surgery Center

All surgical procedures at Boling Vision Center are performed at INSIGHT Surgery Center, our on-site Joint Commission-certified ambulatory surgery center dedicated exclusively to ophthalmic care. INSIGHT supports the full range of ophthalmic surgical procedures, from cataract and vision correction surgery to corneal transplantation, glaucoma procedures, and urgent surgical cases.

Dedicated Referral Specialist

Our dedicated referral specialist is your primary point of contact for submitting referrals, confirming service availability, discussing a case before referral, and coordinating urgent scheduling. For emergency referrals, please call directly rather than using the online portal.

Our referral specialist is available during regular business hours. For after-hours emergency referral guidance, please call our main number to reach the on-call provider.
