The Leader Behind the Legacy

Boling Vision Center has been built on three generations of family leadership, and the person guiding its next chapter brings to that role a rare combination of operational expertise, cultural vision, and a genuine passion for developing the people and organizations she leads.

Hayley Boling serves as Chief Executive Officer of Boling Vision Center, INSIGHT Surgery Center, and INFOCUS Optical Lab, overseeing one of Northern Indiana's most comprehensive and respected independent ophthalmology practices. Her leadership extends well beyond the walls of the practice itself, reaching into national professional organizations, community service, consulting, and the speaking stages of conferences across the country.

At the core of everything Hayley does is a belief that has shaped her entire career: that culture isn't accidental. It is created, intentionally and consistently, through leadership behaviors, priorities, and actions. And when culture is designed with purpose, the people within it don't just perform. They thrive.

Her Role at Boling Vision Center

As CEO, Hayley provides the strategic and operational leadership that guides Boling Vision Center across all four Northern Indiana locations. She oversees a team of over 115 staff members, manages the integration of clinical and operational functions across the practice's full range of services, and holds the ultimate responsibility for the experience every guest has from the moment they schedule an appointment to the moment they leave.

Hayley is also the Executive Director of Kindness to Prevent Blindness, the nonprofit mobile eye care program that provides free vision care to more than 20,000 students annually across Elkhart and St. Joseph County. Under her leadership, K2PB has grown in reach, impact, and community recognition, reflecting her belief that a practice with the means to serve its community has a responsibility to do so without reservation.

A Culture Architect

Hayley is a Certified Practitioner of the Denison Model for Organizational Culture (DOCS) and holds certification in 360° Leadership Training, credentials that reflect her deep investment in understanding and shaping the environments in which people work, grow, and lead. Her approach to culture is both principled and practical.

She helps leaders understand that the culture of an organization is not what is written on a wall or stated in a mission statement. It is what happens in the small moments, the daily interactions, the decisions made under pressure, and the way people treat one another when no one is watching.

At Boling Vision Center, that philosophy is expressed in a practice culture built around the values of integrity, compassion, and excellence, where every team member is seen, supported, and invested in, and where the standard of care for guests is inseparable from the standard of care for the people delivering it.

National Leadership and Recognition

Hayley's influence extends well beyond Northern Indiana. She holds multiple national leadership roles in the ophthalmic profession and broader healthcare management community. She currently serves as Immediate Past President of the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA), one of the most respected professional organizations in eye care administration. She is a Board Member for Ophthalmic World Leaders (OWL) and a Board Member for the National Board of Certified Ophthalmic Executives (NBCOE), roles that place her at the intersection of professional standards, leadership development, and the future direction of the eye care field.

Hayley is a nationally recognized speaker, advisor, and consultant, and serves as a key presenter for ASOA's LEAD Program, where she helps shape the next generation of eye care leaders. She is a trusted faculty member and sought-after voice at national conferences, bringing her expertise in organizational culture, leadership development, and practice management to audiences across the country.

Awards and Recognition

Hayley's contributions to her profession, her practice, and her community have been recognized through a distinguished list of awards and distinctions.

She has been named an industry Game Changer by Administrative Eyecare Magazine on four separate occasions, a recognition that reflects sustained, meaningful impact rather than a single accomplishment. She appeared on the cover of Ophthalmic Professional Magazine for excellence in patient experience, and her article A Guiding Star is Born: How Adopting a New Approach to Feedback Transformed Our Practice Culture earned the publication's Editor's Choice Award.

Beyond the profession, her community contributions have earned her recognition as Citizen of the Year, the Heart of Gold Award, Woman to Watch, and a place among Michiana's Forty Under 40.

HGB Consulting

In addition to her leadership at Boling Vision Center, Hayley is the Founder of HGB Consulting, through which she works with healthcare organizations, leaders, and teams outside of the practice to design intentional cultures, develop resilient leadership, and build the kind of organizational environments where people do their best work.

HGB Consulting reflects Hayley's belief that the principles behind what Boling Vision Center has built, a values-driven, people-first culture that produces both outstanding outcomes and outstanding experiences, are principles that can be taught, transferred, and applied in organizations of any size and type.

Beyond the Office

When she is not leading her many ventures, Hayley can be found traveling, spending time on the water, cheering on the people around her as they pursue their own passions, and being what she describes as an auntie extraordinaire to the people she loves.

She shares her home with her beloved Pomsky pups, Bellini Bou and Bentley Bling, who have made more than one appearance in her professional life and who she will tell you are excellent judges of character.

Hayley's personal life reflects the same values her professional life is built on: genuine investment in the people around her, a belief that showing up for others matters, and a conviction that life is most meaningful when it is lived in service of something larger than oneself.

Her Mission

Hayley's mission, stated simply and lived consistently, is to lead with vision, serve with heart, and create meaningful impact that lasts. At Boling Vision Center, in the communities she serves, and on every stage she stands on, that mission is not a tagline.

It is the standard she holds herself to every single day, and it is the standard she invites the leaders around her to reach for as well. Because when people are seen, supported, and inspired, they don't just grow. They blossom into who they were always meant to be.

Amazing Happens Here

Three generations. One unwavering standard.
