At Boling Vision Center, who we are is inseparable from how we practice. This section tells the story behind the practice, the values that guide it, the legacy that shaped it, and the community commitment that defines it.

Our Story
Boling Vision Center was founded in Elkhart, Indiana in 1960 by Dr. Richard Boling Sr. and has remained independently owned and family-led across three generations. From one exam room to four locations, an on-site surgery center, and a nonprofit mobile eye care program, ours is a story of growth without compromise.

BVC Foundation - Mission, Vision & Values
Our mission, vision, and three core values, integrity, compassion, and excellence, are not aspirational statements. They are the daily standard against which every team member, every decision, and every guest interaction at Boling Vision Center is measured.

Our Commitment to the Community
Through Kindness to Prevent Blindness, Operation Sight, the EYLEA Assistance Program, nonprofit partnerships, and financial hardship assistance, Boling Vision Center works to ensure that quality eye care is accessible to every member of the Michiana community, regardless of financial circumstances.

Our Multi-Generational Legacy of Care
Three generations of the Boling family, Dr. Richard Boling Sr., Dr. Richard Boling II, and Dr. Whitney Boling, have led this practice across more than six decades, each building on the foundation of the last while bringing their own contributions to the field and the community.
