Dr. Mark Walker, Jr, is a native of the Michiana Area and graduated locally from John Adams High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology & Chemistry at IU Bloomington and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from IU School of Optometry. Dr. Walker did one of his medical externships at Boling Vision Center in 2008.
Dr. Walker is a volunteer for the Kindness to Prevent Blindness (KTPB) mobile unit. In collaboration with the Elkhart Education Foundation, the KTPB eye care mobile unit was designed with the goal to provide free vision screenings, exams, and glasses to all 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 8th grade students in Elkhart and St. Joseph County Schools—as is required by the Indiana Department of Education. This nonprofit initiative, funded by tax-deductible donations and in-kind community support, is focused on ensuring school children have the vision care they need to be successful in school.
My wife, Dr Nancy Walker, is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and I couldn’t be more proud of her. We have a young son, Mark Walker III, that has changed our lives and we are enjoying every day with him. We absolutely love to travel and enjoy life on the lake. Working over ten years at Boling Vision Center has truly been a pleasure and I have built very important relationships with my patients.
I sincerely enjoy helping people with their visual needs on a daily basis. A quality patient-doctor relationship is very important to me. I want patients to enjoy their experience and feel they are receiving very thorough & efficient comprehensive eye exams.
Dr. Walker sees patients in the Elkhart Office.
